Farm Store Attendant

Cure Organic Farm operates a seasonal Farm Store on site from May through December. The Farm Store offers our farm produce, certified organic, seasonal vegetables and flowers, eggs, pork, lamb, and wool as well as neighboring farms beef, grains, fruit and other local products.

The Store is open five days a week Wednesday through Sunday, 11am-6pm weekdays and 10am-5pm weekends.

Job Description

Farm Store staff are responsible for the daily operations of the Farm Store. This includes setting up and putting away at the end of each day produce, fruit and flower displays within the store, conducting sales with customers, restocking dry goods, restocking meat freezers, packing and preparing eggs for sale and general daily operations in running the Farm Store. Farm Store staff are responsible for daily product inventory, accurate cash register use and record keeping, and end of day store cleaning. As required, additional responsibilities include tending flower gardens around the Farm Store, watering nursery stock, and cutting flowers for bouquets.

Farm Store staff is paid $12.00 per hour.



Ideal applicants will have a basic knowledge of food production, seasonal availability, be an avid supporter of local foods, and be able to interact with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. Accuracy with cash handling and cash registers is required. The ability to lift 40 pounds regularly and to set up/take down produce and fruit displays is critical. Applicants need to be self-motivated, have initiative, be punctual and enjoy working in a rustic farm setting with all of the demands that farm work offers.
